Situated in Collierville’s Historic Downtown, the Morton Museum invites visitors to explore Collierville’s rich heritage. Permanent and changing exhibitions engage friends, families, and children in interactive learning opportunities. The Visitor Center offers resources to help enhance your Collierville Experience. The Museum is located at the intersection of Poplar Avenue and Main Street just off the Town Square.

Mr. Morgan Morton and his family gifted the building and grounds of the Museum to the Town of Collierville in 2008. After almost 4 years of fundraising and volunteerism by Collierville Residents, the Museum opened in June 2012. The Museum offers a permanent exhibition space, temporary exhibitions, a community art gallery, reading room, and event rentals. Extensive renovations to the building have transformed it into a vibrant community asset.

The Morton Museum acts as the gateway to Collierville’s Historic District. Begin at the Museum, take-in the exhibitions, historic objects, and breathtaking architecture. Then continue your visit by strolling down Main Street, where you’ll be greeted by a Rockwellian Scene: a beautifully landscaped Town Square with gazebo, one-of-a-kind boutique shops and dining experiences, and a historic train depot.
